Rainey and Jazz the DreamDog™ Empower Children Through Rhyme to Solve Their Own Problems While Making a Difference in the World Around Them

At long last, an exciting new author, Rainey has written a spectacular children's picture book titled Monsters in Your Bed...Monsters in Your Head. Rainey, a pioneer in the exciting world of children's books, weaves fun rhymes with beautiful illustrations to empower children to solve their own problems.

Monsters in Your Bed...Monsters in Your Head is the first in a series of rhyming children's picture books published by DreamDog Press. Monsters in Your Bed… tackles the issue of nighttime fears while addressing our social issue of homelessness. What the little girl in the story realizes is that the monsters she imagines in her room are just homeless, and if she can help find them a new place to live, they will gladly leave her room and go to their own home. Through her book, Rainey hopes that parents and children will open a dialogue that will help the children overcome their fears and create understanding for those less fortunate. The book also includes a "Note to Parents and Teachers" that has five interactive activities for parents and children.

After obtaining her law degree from Georgetown University, Rainey worked as a child advocate and attorney for non-profit agencies representing homeless and disabled children and their parents. She served as the Director of Advocacy for People with Development Disabilities, helping hundreds of homeless and disabled children fight for and obtain needed educational and social services. After starting a family, Rainey shifted gears and created a series of twelve children's books, which she sees as a chance to continue her life's work of helping children through rhyming life lessons.

Rainey (aka Lorraine Friedman) will make a sensational guest on your show because of her insight and experience into the lives of so many different children. She will be a heart warming, upbeat guest who is knowledgeable, vivacious, personable, talented, and creative and has the energy to empower parents and children to make a difference in the world. And, of course, she will bring along Jazz the DreamDog, who your viewing and listening audience is sure to adore.

P.S. In an effort to support her goal of making a difference in the lives of children, Rainey is donating 25% of the proceeds from this book to organizations that work with homeless children.
