READINESS FOR CHILDREN OF TEENAGE MOTHERS IS ENHANCED WITH
RAINEY’S RYTHYM AND RHYME AT SPECIAL BRIGHT START PROGRAM

WHAT:
Teenage mothers and their children will read and rhyme; listen
and learn; and dance and interact with Rainey and Jazz the
DreamDog in an event sponsored by Foothill Family Service
for its Bright Start Program clients.

 WHO: Rainey is a dynamic,
heart-warming author and singer-songwriter of inspirational
and self-esteem building children's picture books and award-winning
music CDs. Rainey’s special event for the Bright Start Program
coincides with her appearance at Book Expo America at the
Los Angeles Convention Center on May 30, 31st and
June 1, 2003.
WHAT:
More than 80 copies of “Monsters
in Your Bed…Monsters in Your Head” picture books
and “I Believe in Me!” music CDs were distributed to
teenage mothers and their children as part of Bright Start’s
reading readiness program prior to the event.
Complimentary copies of "Jerome's
Jam" picture book will be donated to the
Bright Start Program by the DreamDog Foundation at Rainey’s
special event appearance.
